Established by  sheer momentum as the coming together of muckers from across the nations Empire. From  England  to Zimbabwe, from Australia to South Africa All joined by a love of seeing cricket played to its full glory. The earliest evidence of Flashmen activity took place in the late spring of 2004 in London. The abiding mission of the Flashmen is that cricket is first and foremost a gentlemen’s game- played hard but always fair.

Cricketing ability alone will get you noticed by the Flashmen, but it is conduct and attitude both on the pitch and off it that will gain you lasting membership.  As a result a committee has been assembled to ensure the exacting standards of cricket excellence, camaraderie, and all-round ability are maintained. We preoccupy ourselves with ensuring all Flashmen are worthy of stepping onto the square.

Off the pitch the Flashmen embrace an élan and enjoyment of the finer things in life, which includes ensuring  visiting ladies are made to feel welcome, to the point of distraction.

We take pride in our amateur status recognizing that whilst the cricketing ability of members ranges from 1st class ability to part-timers, our commitment on the field is 100% at all times. We also look to restore the spectator element to cricket. In all matches, Flashmen play to win in keeping with the ethos that cricket at its best salutes fair play.
